TO CELEBRATE THE WEDDING OF CORAL AND FRANN
Dear Guests, we are delighted that you will be joining us for our wedding celebration on Sunday 26th May 2024. We have created this web page full of information about the weekend including; the itinerary, location, food, accommodation, parking and much more. If you can’t find any of the answers you are looking for then please contact us.
Let’s make a weekend of it! Please feel free to join us for the whole bank holiday weekend on your own schedule. There are many lovely local attractions which you can entertain yourself with or you can hang out and help us set up for the celebration. On the Monday we are hoping to go for a group walk and/or swim in the surrounding hills.
CASTLE RING
We will be celebrating our wedding at Coral’s family home in the Welsh Marches. Castle Ring is a 35 acre woodland, which is located within walking distance from the Offa’s Dyke path.

TAXI COMPANIES
If you aren’t staying within walking distance then there are a couple of local taxi companies that you can pre-book. Let us know if this is something that you are thinking of and where you are staying as we can then put you in contact with others who you may be able to lift share or taxi share with.
PARKING
We will designate parking spaces on the day, we may even contact you before hand to allocate you a specific spot. If you are arriving on the Friday or Saturday then we might ask you to tuck your car away for those arriving later, the main point we would like to stress is please park considerately as you can.
ACCOMMODATION
There is limited accommodation options at Castle Ring we would love to host all our guests but unfortunately cannot accommodate for this. But in order to make things easier for you we have collated some options. It is probably wise to book in advance if you are planning on staying locally.
Wild Meadow - This beautiful eco-cottage and shephards hut located a few miles down the road from Castle Ring and is owned by some family friends.
Airbnb - Have a look yourself on airbnb, there are rooms available in local towns including Kington, Presteigne and Knighton.
Burton hotel - If you fancy something more mainstream with a pool and spa then we would recommend this hotel, it’s not the Ritz but it’ll do nicely.
Rockbridge County Holiday Park - Holiday homes, touring caravan park and campsite (with facilities), this is only a few miles down the road with some different options.
WILD CAMPING
There is plenty of room for camping at Castle Ring, with lots of secret spots where you can have a bit of space away from the hustle and bustle of the party. There are outside taps available near the house where you can have access to spring water and there will be a campfire area for the evenings. We will also be hiring some toilets and create some kind of make-shift wash area, unfortunately we won’t be able to provide showers but there is a leisure centre in Presteigne or the river is not too far away…
FOOD & DRINK
Saturday & Monday - If you are staying for the weekend then please bring your own supplies (the local shops are in Kington, Knighton and Presteigne). We’ll create a BBQ pit and campfire which can be used but you may want to bring an additional camping stove etc. There are also local cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Sunday AKA Wedding Day - We will be providing light snacks during the day and then have arranged for a pizza buffet in the evening, because we love pizza. If you would like to bring something to contribute to the evening buffet (savoury or sweet) then let us know as accoutrements will be very welcome. There is absolutely no pressure as many of you will be travelling from far and wide. We recommend having a good breakfast/late lunch before arriving.
DRINKS - We kindly ask that you bring a bottle to contribute to the feast and evening party, whether that be your favourite wine, cider, J20, WKD, non-alcoholic beer, Irn-Bru, mango juice or cocktail ingredients, the more the merrier. We will of course be providing something bubbly, hot beverages, and a couple of lovely kegs of our favourite local beer, also cold places for storage.
FOOD ALLERGIES AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS - As most of you are our nearest and dearest we are pretty confident that we have catered for food allergies and dietary requirements. However, if you would like to send us a quick message to remind us or update us then please feel free. There will be lots of options at the buffet.
